Hi Andy. May is a great time to go. I assume you're like me & a non-fisherman (it's the closed season). I think the closed season is one of the reasons why the Broads are quiet in spring, especially outside Bank Holidays.

Haven't been with Horizon Craft, but I've only read good reports. There's some pictures of Spring Horizon in the hireboat info section:

Many thanks for all your replies, this is a real friendly place to be.

We have booked Spring Horizon as it was recommended for a couple as it has a double berth and also a single berth which is good for storing your stuff on.
Does look a good 'First timer' boat to.

Really looking forward to our visit..

If anyone has any other information which would be useful to us, it would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks.

Hi Andy. We are going on Spring Horizon 4 at the end of May. This is the 4th time we have had this class and the ninth year with Horizon Craft so you can guess we are satisfied customers. The boat is comfortable and the double is a good size. Our favourite moorings are Ranworth, Horning and Salhouse (we don't mind paying the fee if they look after the place). The popular ones fill up early so we always tow a dinghy. Horizon Craft are one of the few yards to offer a sailing dinghy which is another reason for booking with them. Have a great holiday!
