Hi again Andy
Yes, the effect of the tide can influence your journey, both in terms of fuel economy and bridge height restrictions. To get the best from your week, it's worth spending some time planning your route and overnight stops. There's a wealth of info on the 'Broads Authority' site.

There is a distinct lack of shops close to the Yare at the moment on the Brundall stretch. You would be wise to visit the shops in Brundall before you set off.  But there's plenty of pubs so lunch and evening is never a problem.

Fell overboard? Let's just wait here, the tide will bring him back in.

as long as there is a pub with food and jack daniels.
i am not planning on cooking on this trip. tea and coffee yes, cooking, uummmmm, no. i think the wife will kill me if cookoing has to be done.
