Having recently sold my boat in Czech Rep. I am looking to buy one on N.Broads. Ideally an Alpha 35 or similar. Must be capable of passing under Wroxham Bridge, genuine 4 berth or 4 plus 2. Smaller or larger boat considered but no bathtubs.  Thankyou, Brian.

Thanks for that, I don't post very often because I'm not overburdened with grey matter and I usually just react to matters on which I hold a strong opinion. After 5 years of cruising the river Vlatava and the Elbe I decided it was time to return to the Broads....I've just turned 75 so I feel that I must act in the near future before I fall off the perch. I recently lost Gucci, my 14 year old staffy, and sad though it is to lose him it leaves my wife and I at  liberty to spend more time doing whatever floats our boat....please pardon the pun. I'm looking forward to renewing old friendships and making new friends
Best wishes to all, Brian.

Sorry about your loss of your lovely dog.       It is good to hear that at 75 you are positive about life and that is good.   That is from a 76 year old.   They made them to last when they made us lot.

Would an Ernest Collins 35 be of interest?

It may well be of interest provided it is not a woody and not too expensive. I am currently looking at three other boats priced between 23,000 and 27,000. Please send details, photos, etc.
Best wishes, Brian.

Thanks for the welcomes and replies to my request re boats for sale. I forgot to mention that my budget is on the low side.....40,000 max for the right boat. I was interested in a former hire boat but I was too slow off the mark but another one is being prepared for sale and I have expressed my interest. Because of the Covid situation I cannot fly to the U.K. to inspect any prospective purchase but my stepson will do the necessary on my behalf and possibly enjoy a season's boating before I even get a look in.
Best wishes, Brian.

I think £40,000 is a lot and you should find a decent boat for that money.     Gosh when I think of when we were trying to sell our boat in 2015 you could not give boats away , now they are like 'hen's teeth'.

All being well I've sorted out a suitable boat at the right price level, subject to survey etc, and I look forward to spending 20 weeks or so annually on my favourite waterway when I'm permitted to fly to UK. Many good wishes and thanks to all.
Brian.
