I have just purchased a 4 stroke 15hp outboard from Forum Member n.city.

I am amazed at the variation of quotes I got for fitting it,all the quotes came from established firms within the broads area, the highest was £430 plus any parts needed (and this price included a discount.)

The best was £250 plus any parts needed, several other quotes were around the £300-£350 mark.

That was for removing old outboard and remotes and replacing with new engine and new remotes.

Anyone else had experience of price fluctuation,it seems if you can afford a boat, you can afford to pay high prices

W44nty  -  You must be one happy bunny right now, you have sorted out the trim/balance problem now you have rid yourself of all that unwanted ballast. New engine soon to be fitted. Lots of new friends on here AND the likelyhood of NCFC being back in the Championship which I hope happens then I can once again sail 'B.A' to Norwich for the visit of Donny Rovers, any excuse to get afloat.

What more could I ask for?

Norwich to beat Ipswich & Donny next year,it been great making new friends on the forum and even meeting some, this year I hope to meet a few more of you, especially Zac as he owes me a pint or 2.

Not a bad bloke really, its a shame some members have chose to put me on their ignore list, they are the losers.

PS I might be able to outrun BA now,Malthouse Broad has raised 6 inches since I bailed out Rosie
