Need help please guys

Spoke to hw today and sadly commanding light still has the perkins she had in 2011 that Londonrascal said was sluggish.

I asked what HP it was and they said 38.   Delight that we had last year was 42 hp and more than enough.   Bright light is apparently 52hp

Commanding light seems to have a better double bed layout fwd cabin and a bath.

Bright light has the wooden wheel I like but no bath and double bed is at an angle in the fwd cabin

Bright light is 40-50 quid more.

I have asked hw for measurements of both double beds as the one on bright light looks smaller but I'm unsure if it is or not?

Has anyone been on bright light?

Regards
Ben

The rated h.p of Perkins engines is:

4.99    40hp
4.107   45hp
4.108   45hp
All at 3600 rpm

Unlikely to be a 4.99, most likely a 4.108.

Thanks guys

Has anyone been on MALIBU light she looks my favourite so far

She has a bath and a shower , a straighter bed layout in the fore cabin double bed,  a wooden wheel and rather handy midships cleat which i can drop a rope onto and step off coming alongside and keep her too etc

The malibu is £20 cheaper than bright light

So the two we are looking at now are Bright light and Malibu light

Oh and the malibu also has a nice aft cabin area with the tv and a table,  where as bright light the tv is where the driving area is and table is aft

Do you know what HP malibu is?

Regards
Ben

The engine could be fine, a worn out or incorrect size prop can make a boat feel underpowered.
