Hi Steve, A little vague on your requirements here. You'll need to say how many berths you're after. Whether you want to hire in the north or south; as in a weekend you're not going to get from one to the other and lastly what do you call a week end - pick up and bring back days. Cheers, Andy

Hi Steve, I presume that availability is not the issue here, as I am sure that George Smith's or Whispering Reeds would have something suitable still for June. Just a note of caution if you are looking to 'hire' a private craft - the craft (and indeed you) will not be insured for public/third party liability whilst under hire or reward and little things like a Landlord's Gas Safety Certificate may not be available (which is a legal requirement). There have been many discussions and comments on this forum previously over the cost of hire boats on the Broads. Much of this is due to legislation designed to protect the hirer. Perhaps it is better to be safe than sorry? Darren

hi again, the boat needs to be legal with 2 large double cabins at least, we would want to pick up on friday 5th june and return on the sunday evening, george smiths 'jennifer m' is a great little boat and well priced but slightly awkward for my mum and dad in the cabins, 6 to 8 berths are working out expensive but we will have to keep looking

You could try Maycraft if you are after serviceable but not too pricey?
