Welcome Leejmar,

I'm not sure whether you are talking about the Ant ie near Ludham Bridge or the Bure around Wroxham bridge. If the latter I would have thought upstream of the railway bridge might be good spot or if you hired a dinghy even Bridge Broad which is just of the main river

If these are the ones leejmar, then you shouldn't get much boat traffic. (The photo was taken from Wayford Bridge, facing upstream.)

Although the bridge isn't as difficult at Potter or Wroxham, most boats turn back down the Ant before it.  Smile

According to John Wilson's 'Definitive Guide on where to fish in Norfolk & Suffolk', at this location "Species to be found here are shoals of medium sized Bream to 4lb, Rudd, Perch, fair Roach and  numerous Pike."

I'm not a very good fisherman myself, (although I do enjoy trying !)

Hopefully one of the more proficient Anglers on this forum might be able to answer your technique questions. I can only say that I've found the best fishing to be around dusk and dawn, especially in the summer.

The verandas would make an ideal spot to fish from, especially when it's raining...   Smile

Hi Mate,
Speaking to alot of people where i fish the bream are fishing well at about 10pm till 04am using bread and sweetcorn with about 5 tennis ball sizes of bread based groundbait, i have not fished that spot before but looks pretty good. Let me know what the  outcome is.
