Hi Roy, I last saw the Paula Dawn some 3 years ago when see was up for sale at a brokers in Beccles. The asking price was £9.950 and she was sold and transported to the west country. Like you I have great memories of the fine cruiser enjoying mant a holiday on her with just my wife and daughter. jim retter
The first boat I hired on the Broads was also from Kevincraft run by Denis Cleveland like the Paula Dawn untill he sold her to Roger and that was "Paulina" W332. I last saw her some 8 years ago and would like to know where she is now. I was due to that boat that my love for the Broads started back in 1982 first as a "stinky" and now powered by the rags and the free wind of which there has been plenty this year.

A few days after my last message I came across an undeveloped cassett of film which I asked the local high street developers to process to negative stage to see if there was any pictures on it. Surprise there was and 3 of them were of Paula Dawn taken some 21 years ago going by the possible age of my daughter who is 25 in October. The quality of the negative has degraded over time but the processors were able to ajust the printer to compensate. All 3 show the Paula Dawn from the stern with a dinghy loaded with my ham radio aerial stored in it and in all the pictures are Clare, in the blue and white top,and Gorgena my eldest sisters daughter. Elain my youngest sister in the white roll neck and a young looking Linda with Elains husband at the time in the other two. Where thay were taken is a mystery, any ideas. Though for the day Leaving undeveloped film for any can seriously impare there quality
