As usual, I was involved with the Pathfinder Broads Cruise this Easter  -  17 yachts, 4 motor cruisers and well over a hundred of us  -  including 52 under-16s.

This year, the week started rather blustery  -  we could not sail at all on Easter Monday.  Then, on Tuesday, we had been hoping to pass through Potter Bridge, but the water was too high  -  less than 5ft 10in even at low water, and continued to get worse over the succeeding few days!  So we were stuck on the Upper Thurne  -  at lest it is beautiful, and there were not many other boats about (mostly just a few small day-boats, the 'picnic' boats couldn't fit through!), and we didn't have much competition for moorings!

There was some hasty re-arranging of plans, but we were all fine and had a great week, even within our rather restricted sailing area.

Here is a VIDEO of how much fun we had sailing on Horsey  Smile

Excellent video Jeremy.  It was a similar situation for the Venturers.  They did manage to get through.   The yard piloted them and all the yachts had a lot of "child-Ballast" to weigh them down.

A bad day on the water is better than a good day in the office.
