Hi Paul,

Having observed otters on the Ant and Sutton Broad for a couple of years now, I would say it's definitely an otter (IMHO). Especially given the size you report, mink are shorter and slimmer.

The fur doesn't look dense enough for a mink and the texture is wrong, I reckon it is an otter.

Blimy..... now I am confused as we just about have a 50 / 50 split!!

I have seen both but as this was slimmer than an Otter, didn't dive under water, had too bigger ears than an Otter I still think it is a Mink,

So heres another picture.

Still reckon it's an otter. Submit the pic to the NWT, they should be able to give you a definitive on it.
