Monday 25th June

Arrived at Richardson's at 13.30 and was surprised to be told the boat was ready, so off we went quickly loading all our gear aboard like little kids. The staff there were excellent and we quickly got to grips with all the finer details about our boat. After loading up the last goodies we set off down the river towards the Lion at Thurne and tucked into some fine food and drinks, on returning to the boat the children jack and jordan had the rear bedroom with us in the middle and the in laws at the front.... oh dear we were all up at 04.00 woken by the strong winds and rain that lashed down for most of the night, apparently what they suffered at the front was "slappy Bottom".still we has a laugh.

Tuesday 26th

Setting off from The Lion after a hearty fry up we made our way towards horning which was excellent apart from my mooring issue where i tied the front up ok only to see the rear slowly drift away from me much to the laughter of my crew.Had a nice meal in the Swan and watched the boats go by for about 2 hours before drifting onwards towards Wroxham. At Wroxham we finally managed to moor up and took in the sights of ROYS this and ROYS that.Back on board we made our way to the Ferry inn for a fantastic calvary before settling in for the night which was undisturbed.

Wednesday 27th

After yet another nice fry up on board we made our way to Great Yarmouth as i wished to cross Breydon Water in order to become a real boater "confidence building every second" after checking the tide times we set across the water and it was great with no problems at all, we reached Reedham and decided to have a beer before moving onto The Ferry for a nice meal and overnight stop.

Thursday 28th

We spent most of the day lazing around with a spot of fishing before heading back across breydon with Mark,Kerry and their little boy Joe another family off the forum whom we had met earlier, strangely we headed for The Lion again where we had another nice meal and a few beers into the night.

Friday 29th

The kids decided they wanted to go to Great Yarmouth for the day so we headed off first thing as this was quite a trek at between 4-6 mph. On arriving we moored at the yaught station and made our way to town and sea front which in all was a fun packed day and well worth the long trip.On the way back we moored at Acle enjoying yet another fine meal before retiring for the night.

Saturday 30th

We made our way to potter heigham as most people off the forum told us a visit was worth it, after mooring in the boatyard we made our way to the village which is only a short walk from the boatyard and just had a look round before returning to do some more fishing off the boat and a nice meal to finish the evening.

Sunday 1st July

We made our way slowly to Ranworth broad which was packed solid and no mooring's in sight so circled a few times without success so decided to make our way to the boatyard to load up the cars and just keep the basics onboard making it easier for the morning,we decided to head to the wayford hotel in Wayford for a last night meal. We did meet another couple off the forum there from Birmingham which was very nice too.

Monday 2nd

Boat back at 09.00 and we are all sad it has now come to a end.

Summary

Loved it,the boat was perfect for our needs although a little hard to reverse and moor, the boatyard were excellent and the people we met were second to none.

And a big thanks to you guys on the forum for all your help as without it i would not have learned so much...

THANK'S GUYS

I will end this now with some pictures of our holiday..

Regards Andy,Bev,Jordan & Jack
