I think that's the road out towards Rackheath, across the railway line... too far away to be a fag end from a boat then Steve!!

It was on the back of Rackheath Industrial Estate.

About 1/2 mile to the right of Wroxham road between the turning for the Industrial Estate and the Green Man.

Could see the smoke on the A47 and went for a look on my way back into Norwich.

Gary.
Driving a safety boat does not constitute being a stinky.

Hi

Yes the smoke and bits of burnt straw were bad, had to stop mowing the lawn the smoke got that dense  Blush  It started to turn the sun a most odd colour through the blanket of billowing smoke.

Even today the smell of burnt straw is still around as are the bits of burnt straw. Looks like with all the dry weather we are likely to have quite a few fires like this one.

Agree with Steve take extra care in these conditions, one careless action can soon get out of hand.

John (who lives in Rackheath Cool Indifference  )

Kind regards, John & Jo (Captain Joshie & Mrs Blue Skies) .

Hi Brian

We live on the new estate, Wilcon end of Wilkinson Road at the moment, we are 'up for sale', downsizing the house then upsizing the boat once either or both sell!! Smile  Are you a fellow 'Rackheather' then??

Very glad they are opening a 'new' post office. It's a 5 mile round trip to Salhouse P.O. and as I'm using a bicycle now (still have the car but as a cost saving exercise) anything closer will be appricated  LOL

Can still smell the burnt smoky result of the fire even tonight!

John
