Anyone heard of it? Is it worthwhile? A nice man has just suggested that I join it. I suspect the initials, in gold leaf, will look dead smart on the transom of my boat!

Any other similar clubs worth joining?

Well Peter, Google says:
quote:"......
Your search - "wavy anchor trust" - did not match any documents.
......."

So on that basis it's exclusive and you should join!

Peter (JM).  We share the same surname so perhaps you should join the Waller cruising club.  We already have a nice badge.

Many years ago, when I cruised the Solant as a charter boat skipper I belonged to the P.O.B.Y.C., Peter' Own errr-hum Yacht Club. Used to tickle me pink when club secretaries used to very seriously sign me in as a guest with that abreviation.

Clive, well we both belong to the W.C. then, the Waller Clan!

Peter (JM).  Yes unlike the The Wavy Anchor Trust it is not very exclusive.  There are a lot of us about.

Reminds me of one of the old airlines, Trans World Airlines that is, where their flight attendants would go around offering drinks to the passengers.

"Would sir like some TWA orange, TWA soda, TWA Cola, TWA Milk, TWA coffee, or would you prefer some TWA tea?"

(Wonder if it gets moded?)

Graeme

All right so what is the technical name, sharp end or pointy end?
