Hi everyone.
I have had holidays on the Broads in cruisers before, but this June, we are renting a bungalow at Wroxham.
There will be three of us, and a dog, and I would like to hire a day boat for the week to get about in.
Nobody seems to hire them out for longer than a day though. Can anyone help with the name of someone that does ?
Thanks.

Harry May at Maycraft (Potter Heigham) will do you one for a week I am sure. Be sure to book early. Maycraft are usually a bit cheaper too. The boats are old but they go.

Geo Smiths won't be the cheapest - but remember with them you are effectively getting a small cruiser complete with loo and gallery - they're very comfy, we hire one just for the day every year

Not the case with most of the faircraft/broads tours launches

Just make sure you leave one in their yard for us, cos we're down in June as well Playful Wink

Is that a minstrel's gallery?

Fineway have excellent day launches. No loo / galley, but they're immaculate little launches, and great in the summer with the folding canopy. In my opinion they're the best value day Launch fleet in Wroxham (if not the broads), and I've been hiring from them since 1998.

They're one of the few yards to have heating on their day launches so if it does get a bit nippy you're sorted. I normally hire from George Smith in the winter, but we had a Fineway launch out this January and it was surprisingly warm. Their medium size launch is perfectly adequate for 3 people + canine companion. The smallest launch they offer is electric, and a little slow. Even in the summer I insist on a stinkboat.

So anyway.. Back to the point. They don't quote for more than one day's hire but it's probably worth giving them a bell?

Boulter Marine are not the typical day boat hire company, but they have been auctioning a day's hire of a launch on ebay, so they might do a deal for a week.
Worth a try.
