Hi Roya, I saw Joshua round the back of Russell Marine yesterday. Is there a prize for spotting members' boats in obscure places? BB

Josh looked fine to me Roya, I'm sure he's in good hands... First time I've moored at South Walsham for about 5 years. Not impressed by the bogs being permanently closed (but at least there are alternative facilities at Reedham Quay - what clown thought of putting that on the sign?) and sad to see the little shop shut. Oh well...

Does it really say 'Reedham' not 'Ranworth' it would seem a very long way to walk with your knees crossed
"Actually I'm very good at going sideways until I want to moor that is!!!" Bill...

If I remember correctly it mentions both Reedham and Ranworth. It just struck me that the notice, which also mentions alternative rubbish disposal points at the same locations, demonstrates a complete ignorance of the Broads and of the needs of river users. Needless to say there was rubbish dumped in the doorway of the toilets, and the one tiny bin in the public car park up the road was overflowing. Not very appealing for tourists - shame since South Walsham is such a lovely spot. Don't normally whinge about these things, but I was particularly miffed because the pump on my toilet has sprung a leak such that the contents now take the path of least resistance out onto the floor of the heads... nice ...and I'd told my good lady that SW would be a good spot to moor because of the shoreside facilities! Yours whiffily, BB

Hi all if any one from the B A or council is looking in . please send me a Key to open the rubbish bins at Ranworth staith and i will empty them and put the trash in the compactor. whats the point of rubbish bins if they are not emptied. i am sure an exec of some note on at least £50k a year can organise me a key i will do it free just to make it look nice for folk and keep the wasps away. sorry if you have to make a decision, but know doubt you will have to set up a commitee to reach a decision,
