Hi Postman,

"Harry's, our new coffee shop & café, forms part of the popular Helska leisure pool. This refurbished facility (for
2010) is open all year round. The indoor heated pool & spa enjoys views across the Marina and is the perfect place to
relax during your stay (charges to swim apply)." Taken from this site http://www.ferry-marina.co.uk/ open all year
round.

I should check with Ferry - the pool closed over the
winter last year. The home page at Ferry says the cafe is
open all year but will this include the pool?

yes - the pool, and Harry's, and Horning Fish Bar are all open right
through the winter. It was closed last winter whilst we uncovered all the
sins of the past and then refurbished.

Does that include some public moorings for customers even when ‘the fleet is in town’?

I am just trying to plan some "wet weather" activities for a 3 year old next week and an afternoon in the pool could be an option.

Does anybody know where we can moor to use the pool? Does the ferry marina boatyard allow private boats to moor if using the leisure centre? or is there a better option?

Thanks for you help in advance.

Moorings? Ferry area? Hot potato!

-that's my best comment. Gleened from posts on here at various times. Seems some issues and conflicts with Ferry pub customer moorings (day boat v cruisers and eaters v drinkers), Marina visitors (boats for sale), Fish bar customers. No idea where Helska customers fit within all this!

Suggest a call as so many issues have been aired on here it will not be easy to make a reasoned decision about your best options! IF there are any...

PS - do let us know please!

At the moment, I would guess you need to be lucky enough to find a spot outside the pub (limited due to day boat only area), pay the mooring fee, eat at teh pub to ensure you get that money back, and at some point during your 24hour (max) stay, pay a visit to the pool.

But I may be wrong, so if there are some "visitor" spots in the Marina, for more than ten mins pull-in time to pick up fish & chips ( I don't know if this bit is correct either), it would be good to know - for all of us and for business there!

Cheers, Karen
