Hi Geoff

I think Barnes-Brinkcraft at Wroxham hire canoes. I've certainly seen them sailing out from that area. Don't know of anywhere nearer Malthouse - maybe someone knows if there's anyone at Horning hires them.

Steve

P.S. When you get to Herbert Woods at Potter Heigham there's a Broads Authority Tourist Office there. Try and pick up a copy of the information newspaper "Broadcaster" and/or ask the lady there about canoe hire.

It is north, though not quite the area you were asking about but you may want to consider Wayford Bridge - I understand canoe hire is still available there - perhaps someone will confirm?

It's a super place to canoe from, you could explore upriver where very few cruisers can reach to Dilham, the North Walsham canal which is now closed so you would have it all to yourself (see the thread on Honing Lock), or downriver towards Barton, Stalham and Sutton. The choices ehere are almost endless and will assure you a very enjoyable days canoeing.

Hi
My husband and 2 kids (13 & 15)hired a canoe from Sutton Staith last friday, £15 for three hours.  Can do quite a lot of exploring in three hours and the river is quiet.
