I notice that some members are under the impression that Helska Leisure Centre and its Laundrette are closed.  This is not the case, Helska was closed for refurbishment in April for 2 weeks but the Laundrette has never been closed.

A big welcome to the site, nice to have local businesses onboard.

Should we read from this that the Leisure Centre itself is open again. It's a super arrangement, especially if your on a boat for two weeks. Pop the laundry in, take a swim for half an hour whilst it's cooking then go back and chuck it in the dryer and back in the leisure centre for shower.

Dry self, collect dry clothes, back on baord with nice fresh clothes (towels especially!).

Only point is remember not to put all the towels in the laundry or your a bit stuck for your swim!

It's behind the Ferry Inn at Horning.

Take the lane from the pub up to the road and it's the next building along. From that side the lauderette is on the front of the building.

If you moor in the Marina which is next to the pub then you need to walk around the back to the launderette

Here's the photo of it from the other thread on the subject (from a few months ago).

It's the building outlined in red, just by the Ferry Inn car park entrance.  (The Pub is just off the left of the photo, and the River Bure runs across the top)..
