Evening all, just a small question to those of you who live around gods wonderful waterway. Why is the Yarmouth Marina,in such decay these days?Ist it the rent/rates or the area thats caused such a decline with this site.
It used to bustle in the evenings, with the fish and chip shop and the bar and pool room at the back of the site drawing in the passing boats for the night.
It is so handy though just to hang around waiting to catch the tide just right.I counted 4 shopping trollies on the mud slope at low tide last July. And I have to smile each time a chap walks all the way along the concrete top to see if he can get me to part with some cash, and then scowls when I tell him why i`m loitering and then he has to trudge all the way back towards the steps.Bless him!

I tell my neighbors that we are going to the `Far-East` for our holidays.I do not tell lies;Norfolk has always been East of Bucks!

I often stop here for fuel as the garage is only 50 yards away on the other side of the pub which has live music some nights. I also wait here for the tide to turn in my favour when travelling up river.

Hi Stankos, yep,ok mate.Nice for you to have a chat.I will be around on the London Bridge;from Bridgecraft at Acle, from July 18 but only for a week.So will be staying on the northern broads.Barton,Black horse, and if tides are right,Hickling.
Spring tides that week-end so should scrape under the bridge, must remember to take the telly aerial off the cabin roof,Ha!
I wonder if Lathams have spent any money on air conditioning in their store yet?I frazzled whilst I stood behind a woman who had bought just about eveything in the shop and the girl at the till wanted a price-check for a hand-towel.
But the tackle shop has a wide range of goods, shame that a lot of the pieces are not in stock after the opening of the fishing season. It seems that they don`t have enough in reserve to keep the levels up!.
Take care Stan, give us a toot if our paths cross.Probably be at Thurn/Bure head moorings on 18th.

Stay on the right. Phil.

I tell my neighbors that we are going to the `Far-East` for our holidays.I do not tell lies;Norfolk has always been East of Bucks!
