Hi All,

As Promised, All Correspondence,PM's and Files to do with the Flag Issue this year have now been deleted destroyed or otherwise disposed of.

I hereby now declare myself retired from this post.

Roy I know you have been trying to persuade me to take this on further this year but the truth is I believe there are others out there who are better qualified and probably with better organisatonal skills than me. Certainly there are those with better business sense.

Dont get me wrong I was really pleased the way it turned out, with only minor unpleasantness and mishaps and am quite pleased with myself for getting it done.

So Now fellow forumites its over to you.

If I can be any help or assistance to anyone who fancies taking this onwards then I will do all I can to help and am quite willing to pass on my supplier to them.

Admiral I still have Your Flag in my posession and if I dont recieve your home addy I will find a way of getting it to you next boating season probably via a certain grump who frequents The Malsters.

Thanks again to all of you.

Rod

Rod,
I reckon you did a grand job with this one, It appears to be something that was knocking around for a long time and would probably have continued to do so had you not picked it up by the scruff of the neck and dealt with it.

I can understand you not wishing to continue, these things take a hell of a lot of time and effort. I have been involved in many organisations over the years and am convinced that so many people do not realise how difficult these thins are.

See you soon have a good Christmas

Gordon

Hear, hear, Gordon.

Well done again, Rod.

I will just add, that I did deal with the supplier for the forum flags, for some business of my own, after Rod kindly passed on the details, and he too was a pleasure to deal with, and a very nice genuine gentleman (there aren't too many of those around these days, except in the world of boating!).  If Rod can't be persuaded to continue in post, and I can quite understand if he really doesn't wish to, then any future Flag Officer should have no trouble in dealing with the supplier.

Well done again, Rod for bringing the project to fruition.

Pete

It's very strange, but I can see nothing in my post above that says that!!  Confused Scared  Gasp

I only thanked Rod for his efforts and said that any future Flag Officer will find the supplier a pleasure to deal with! Smile
