Thanks to
members that have PMd me for the sites Bank Account details.
Just to put things straight,at the moment the Account is in my name as it was set up when the Bossman was living in America.
No doubt one day when he gets down the back of the fag packet of jobs to do, he will change it over into his name.

As you know i like complete transparency,so when the yearly statement comes in i will post it straight to Richard unopened so only he will know who has put what in.
(none of my business anyway).

Thanks for your help.

Roy

Just a thought.

Would it not be an idea to make public what funds are needed to overcome the current issues and regularly update the forum of how the progress towards 'target' is going.

That way at least people know the scale of the issue and the shortfall.

Perry

Perry mate,
a long time ago when we started pennies did not come into it,
now its all changed ,
Bossman (my mate ) wants it kept free ,
so we can only rely on Folk sending us their hard earned pennies.
I do hate asking,so if there is a member out there who knows how to get some funds in,(as usual i try my best but im rubbish as usual) please PM me.

I and Richard would love your help.
PS he is even worse than me asking for help.
Smile

I've tried several times before to ask this question, but the request never gets a straight answer, and I now note that Perry is now asking a similar question, but in a slightly different way.  What I'm sure many members of this site need is some guidance as to what contributions are needed, as I'm sure many of uss feel that we are "in the dark" on this.

I make a contribution by subscription each month, but having no experience of the running costs of these sites, I don't really know whether my contribution is enough, or should be more.  I have offered help to our Lord and Master in another way in which I can assist too, which I hope he will take me up on if and when required.  I base what I contribute on the cost of hosting my business website, but will say again that I'd very much like to be advised on this.

I'm more than willing to contribute in the same way as I already do, but would like to be advised on what's reasonable for individuals to give to cover running costs of the site, as I firmly believe it should be (at least) self financing.  Whilst I fully appreciate that Richard wants the site to remain free, in reality, it isn't free, and has running costs which need to be met.  In the absence of some sort of membership subscription these need to be met by regular users.

Pete,

Thank you, put rather more eloquently than my post I think you have it in a nutshell.

I just think that if people don't know what the shortfall is per month or cost of new equipment required that maybe they don't know the scale of the issue that is faced. A bit of transparency may work wonders.

No implied criticism of anyone but most 'fund' raising has a target and and update of progress.
