i have just got back from two weeks on the broads on clear horizon 2 from this yard.
what a pleasure it was to have yet again two weeks of trouble free boating on the broads!!
we arrived at 12 ish on 20th sep just as the boat was just getting the last bits cleaned so we were under way within the hour!
such helpful staff at this yard!!
so off to the southern half of the broads we went for the first week!!on the 27th we made our way back across yarmouth to get back to the yard for the night so we could fill up with deisel and get a pump out on the sunday morning. we got up about 8.30 on sunday & i went to find a member of staff to fill us up yet again i was met with a smile & helpful staff.
we got a pump out & filled up with deisel & of we went up the northern half for the second week.
still no problems at all with the boat or the staff at this yard .
on the 3rd we arrived back at the yard to moor up for the night so we could get the boat back for 9 on sat4th oct. yet agian we were met with such helpful staff & was on the way back to the midlands within the hr.
i would recommend this yard to anyone as this was the second time we had used this yard!!
thanks to all the staff for a very very happy holiday yet again!!
p.s.wootton.

bigpaul says hi to you all!!

well you beat me to it bigpaluk1  as i was just going to post a message about horizoncraft at acle.
i book to go on glistening horizon 2 for the week starting 6/10/08 from the time we arrived at the yard the very welcoming staff were great. couldnt do enough for you. even when we had to get a pump out mid week the couldnt do enough asking was evrythink ok etc.
the boat was great too, very clean and tidy, having used richardsons from stalham a few times i find its much better going from a "smaller" yard as the staff are more personally etc.
we will deffo be using them again soon but i want to take a break from the broads now and try france and the lochs in scotland.
i would certainly recomend horizon craft to anyone

I have not had a chance to post on the website for months but it s great to be back in touch. Just to add my ha'porth to this thread, we ended up having a good look at Horizoncraft last year during what was a bit of a fraught boating holiday due to our 1 st boat giving up the ghost on Breydon water. Once things were abit more settled, we moored at Acle with our 2 nd boat of the week and explored the yard thoroughly. Had moored there on previous trips and were always made welcome and treated with courtesy. We were impressed with the care being taken to clean and maintain the boats inside and out. One gentleman left his task maintaining a boat to show us around Blue Horizon which we felt might do for 2009.

Genuine , evident glowing hard work certainly pays off, as does good customer relations as I ve just booked the very boat for a week in Aug 2009 for myself, The Submariner, our stepson, my son and his partner; the latter three members of our party being new to boating I cannot wait to see the broad grin that comes with The Broads appear on their faces!

Regards to all, Yasmin

We hired our first Broads boat from Horizoncraft way, way back in 1981  Blush

It was Golden Horizon (No.8 if memory serves) and it was immaculately turned out and the yard people could not have been more helpful, pleasant and professional.

It seems that this yard has managed to maintain it's superior status over the years and appears even now to be going from strength to strength.

A yard to be respected indeed. If we ever go back to hiring, Horizoncraft would be very high on our list of yards...

I cannot speak highly enough of them - my 6th hire from the same yard (usually Spring Horizon 2). The most welcoming and friendly bunch imaginable - the boat has always been spotlessly clean, with a warm welcome and a pleasant chat as the formalities are dealt with.

However last year they outdid themselves - my daughter saw a small tender (with trailer) for sale at Ludham Bridge and decided that she just had to have it - so Dad had to play surveyor, marine finance and transport all in one. When we arrived back at the yard with our hire craft, I happened to mention that we were going to tow my daughter's new boat back to Wales with us - the yard immediately offered to check the trailer and greasse the wheel bearing for us and gave us some old mooring warps to help secure the dingey on the trailer.

What more can I say - a great holiday with a lovely ending thanks to a very friendly yard - and yes boat safely back here.
