Lovely pub, but what does anyone know about the little shop across the road from the boozer. When I was there in July it was closed, and nothing on the shelves, but in September it was run by a very nice young lady in her eighties.

Hi Richard, I spoke to the Landlord of the pub about the shop last May. He said that the old lady owned the shop and has been there for many years. How she makes a living he had no idea, as even when she is open there is very little on the shelves, you would also do well to check the date of items before purchasing. I did visit in September 2003 and found her open, I purchased a paper and it almost seemed like her hobby rather than a business. Keith
