What that report does say is improvements have been made , why kick someone for making an effort ????

This weeks council visit indicates TFI would probably now achieve 4 stars but some people still want to knock it.

If 4 stars is correct surely it is a good turnaround. NNDC are clearly keeping an eye on the place as they should do. I'd rather see it open than closed and hope things continue to improve.

Fortunately no kids were injured as a result of the bouncy castle incident , but it is a bit surprising how bad news continues to follow Mr Chinn around - perhaps he is just a little unlucky??

Not sure how many locals he employs though - a lot of the cars round the back have those funny blue and white numberplates!!

We've eaten there quite often and have always enjoyed our meals - whether from the carvery or off the menu. The last occasion being a week ago today, and the fayre was most satisfactory.

'Tis obviously a case of speak as you find   Smile

Not quite an ancient mariner ..... though some say he was at sea before Pontius was a pilate !

We often eat there and in spite of not speaking Romanian, have not had a bad meal yet. My only complaint is the portion sizes are too large.  Smile

Some members of "another forum" are dismissing the issue as unimportant and that they will eat at  low star rated establishments if they wish thankyou very much.

To which I say:-

Campylobacter
Salmonella
E. coli 0157
Staphylococcus aureus

Especially for the young and the elderly

The thing is you will remember just one of the things on boatymans menu far longer than you ever will any carvery .
Cheers enjoy!

It is fashionable to slag this place off but, on balance, I think we are better off with TFI than without if the alternative is another boarded-up pub and more moorings lost. The owner seems to be a piece of work, but there has been some recent improvement in standards. I for one will give him the benefit of the doubt for now.
