Hi All,
As promised i went in for a snout round on Friday.
Out side is looking good, the garden looked clean and tidy and the garden furniture was ok.
The Marquee was fine.
went inside met the manager had a pint and a chat,he gave me some keys to look at bedrooms, the ones i saw i would be happy to stay in.
As this was the first time i have ever been inside the hotel cant comment on past views.
Shame about the view over Roys car park lol.
It looks as though some cash has been injected in.
The loos were very good ,i have to check these for gill.
Will spend a weekend there soon and report back.

Hi Roya,

You are good, Thanks so much that's put my mind at rest about spending the night there. Although it is only for one night you know what us women are like, it has to be a certain standard, and I agree with Gill especially the toilets, that's always a good sign if a place has clean toilets. Don't mind about the view because for two weeks after that night we will have the best views ever, The Broads.

Debbie,

I wouldn't want to put anyone off but I would like to tell you my personal experience of this Hotel. You'll find it in the "Playing the field" topic.

I'm glad they are back on form as I've had many happy stays there and was a bit alarmed by the thread in November. One thing I would say is that the rooms right at the back of the Hotel are quieter being further away from the stairs and the Bar.

Hi everyone,

Well only 2 days till we leave the Isle of Man for our two weeks on Grecian Girl (can't wait) but already a hiccup.

With only two days to go we thought we would phone the Broads Hotel to confirm our booking and inform them of our time of arrival only to discover that they had no booking for us (big panic) even though when we rang they (worryingly) took our card details and name and address etc and told us the room was booked.

We had made the booking in back in February as you will see from this thread. Luckily they still have a family room available and we have booked it. (I hope) Apparently since then they have changed managers and were apologetic.
Not a good start as I don't know what we would have done with time so short. I wish the new manager luck as it could really do with building up a great reputation as there are not that many hotels in Wroxham and if they get a good reputation I reckon they will be run off there feet as it's a main starting point for lots of boat pick ups.

Might need another visit from our Roya.

So if you have made a booking earlier this year check it has been done.

I hope it's going to be nice as I will post my honest opinion for you when we return.
