Ate there a lunchtime in June and good!

Happy Birthday Water Rail, 80 years young this year!

We moored overnight their in June, we did not eat so cannot comment, but what we did experience was its family run and the daughters boyfriend was messing about with his mates outside, the outside could do with a clean up, or at least cut the grass, I would have set the boyfriend doing this instead of being a idiot, the next morning the landlady was sat in her dressing gown having a ciggy outside the front door, amazed at that, but we had the best morning mist I have ever seen on the broads, and no it was not the ciggy smoke, the sight was fabulous about six in the morning.
I would call again to see if their are any improvements done.

Not risking mooring there until they remove the tyres on the quay heading.  Too much time trying to clean the black marks off the boat...

sadly this has been the problem at the Beauchamp, recently the landlords have changed faster than the barrels.

I cant comment on any aspect to do with the Beauchamp Arms. Ive never stopped there, and until there is something a bit more welcoming to moor up against I aint risking it.
Shame though. Beachamp was my mums maiden name so I feel I should give it a go!

I always think of the Beauchamp as a drinker rather than an eater,
and they do keep all their beers , lagers and cider well and they have
a pretty good selection.  But having said that ,  I just had a rump
steak with handmade peppercorn sauce ( the sauce was separating ,
but not stingy in the peppercorns ) for a tenner,  and the meat was
exactly as ordered and better than i'd been charged 15 for,
elsewhere .   Btw, as a wooden boat owner, I made a point of
searching out a bit of quay heading that had a tyre, cleaning is so
much better than painting Smile

Its not gourmet, but ate there twice last week and both times it was very good value pub food.  Excellent choice. We had soups both days - interesting selection and very good.  Also basket meals, and your normal staple pub grub.
Significant improvements over previous landlords and would recommend it as a pub.
I use my own fenders to prevent the tyre marks........
