Hi All

I have added a page to the Ludham Archive Website about Frank Harding Chambers of Ludham. Frank was a boat designer of winning racing yachts at the start of the 20th Century. He was also a mathematician who used his maths skills to enhance the handicap of his boats and thus gain an advantage.

Also of interest (maybe even more so)is a page of memories of Frank's granddaughter, Ruth Daniloff. Ruth grew up in Ludham and had a difficult childhood. She later ended up being expelled from the Soviet Union and meeting President Ronald Reagan. Her memories (sort of) explain how it all happened and all in her uncompromising writing style.
