Yesterday we put three more markers out on Breydon and today we fitted two channel signs to posts 1 and 1A. Many thanks to Keith and Martin on Spirit of Breydon for there assistance making sure we had the signs at the correct angle.?

I did read elsewhere that two of the channel posts are missing at the point where the channel bears to the left having just passed under Breydon Bridge, this is coincidentally where some of the recent groundings have occurred. I understand that the posts have been been replaced by green buoys, since the safety video and skipper manual say to specifically "stay between the green and red posts" are these buoys being ignored in the belief that they are for some other purpose?

How can you miss a string of green buoys without thinking about it?

Oh I know - if you are trying to cross in the dark and you cannot see them in the glow of your navigation lights, which you havn't got anyway as you are not allowed to navigate after dark!!

a) It is not a string, just 2
b) They are quite small
c) You are looking for posts 'cos that is what is what the video and manual tells you to look for.
d) did all the boats go off after dark?

Did any of the boats leave the channel after dark?
