Hi chaps, I know it’s unlikely but is there such a thing out there as a mooring to let. I’m looking to put a 42’ on it. It really doesn’t matter where, we are very easy to please.

Kindest Regards, Nick &Caz

Hi there,

If you look through previous threads in this section you'll find various contact numbers for some of the main places, marinas etc. Best way really is to make contact with them and ask if they have anything available or what might be coming up. They rarely advertise , and if yoy can actually call in on your travels ( think you mentioned you were visiting to view boats?)  then a bit of face to face contact goes a long way. I know of a spot where the owner will only let a space to people he has met or have been recommended to him by friends etc.
Let's just say he had a bit of a problem with some folk who answered  an advert and to whom he let a space without meeting them. Not to suggest you are in any way likely to be the same , but this does tend to mean that face to face contact may be more successful. At the very least I'd ring around, and offer to call in when you are down if that's possible.

Best of luck, Karen

I appreciate your help, I checked with margeandparge but not to be I’m afraid. Agreeing with you I think the best approach is to simple chat face to face at the yards. If they don’t have space, they might have a boat and know of a mooring.

Kindest Regards, Nick &Caz

Hi again.

As you know we moor at HW potter . The marina looks pretty empty at the moment compared to previous years.

It might be worth a word with the office.

Be aware the rates are not the cheapest but the facilities are excellent.

In particular with your circumstances in mind  for many moorings you can park your car 3 foot from the stern of your boat for a very short time to make loading and unloading much easier.

Good luck

Graham

I second that, but just keep in mind Wroxham Bridge.

Whilst I am sure someone will say that those moorings offer everything they might need, I think those moorings are probably the worst on the the Northern Broads - go and have a look by all means but if you do so, I can probably guarantee most would agree with me!!!!

I am afraid you get what you pay for in life!!
