Im pretty sure that the B.A. gave up the lease on these mooorings a couple of years ago

if it is to be it is up to me.

That is right.   Now run by Thorpe town council there were plans to let  a stretch of them as permanent moorings but nothing seems to have come of it yet.

As far as I know  no mooring is allowed at the moment .

River Green mooring is still available for 24 hours free of charge. The centre section is where you can moor. The eastern end is commercial and city end is going to be private moorings for hire.The B.A. handed back their lease to the Town Council about 3 years ago because it was not used enough to justify the cost of maintenance.Check bridge heights of course.
