I believe that 46ft is the max LOA that is allowed for pleasure craft on The Norfolk Broads.

You can have a boat longer than 46', but there are restrictions on which rivers/sections of rivers that you are allowed to navigate. The same regulations cover the beam also. There are a couple of Pipers (beautiful boats too) registered on the Broads and they are I believe, 65' in length. Finding a mooring might be tricky. A bit of legwork on the Yare might turn something up.

The 46' length limit (for leisure craft) only refers to these stretches of the Broads (taken from the bye laws): River Wensum: Upstream of Foundry Bridge River Yare: Upstream of Trowse Eye, Bird’s Dyke and Surlingham Fleet Dyke, Rockland Boat Dyke, Fleet Dyke and Short Dyke, Langley Dyke, Hardley Dyke River Chet: The entire waterway River Waveney: Geldeston Boat Dyke River Bure: Upstream of “The Rising Sun”, Coltishall, Upton Dyke, Hermitage Dyke, Acle River Ant: The entire waterway and its navigable branches including Barton Broad River Thurne: Upstream of Dungeon Corner, Catfield Dyke and its branches, Waxham Cut, Meadow Dyke, Candle Dyke, Womack Dyke and Womack Water So there is still an amount of cruising still available. But I can't think of anywhere that would have a mooring of the requisite size available.

As is always the response to this question, you just need to get up here and ask around. I very much doubt whether you will get much response to such a request on the Forum, or not in places you may want to be!
