Hello all,
Been reading lots of posts to get lots of ideas and information, have a feeling this forum is going to be indispensible!
Husband and I (and our little twins and a dog!) brought our very first boat this weekend.  We have a little rower, but this is our first 'proper' boat.  It is a Sealine 22.  We are super excited and can't wait to get going, will be ready for collection in a couple of weeks.  I have a feeling it is going to be the longest 2 weeks of my life lol.  We still haven't sorted mooring as have been looking for the right boat for so long, didn't think I would suddenly have to pull my finger out so quickly!  We live Buxton way so mooring as close to there as possible would be perfect so we can get over to her at every opportunity available.  I'll put a post in the moorings forum too, or would this normally just be enough to post in one forum?  Any tips and advice most welcome.  Also need to sort out BA tax and insurance if anyone can recommend a reasonable insurer too.  I feel many an adventure ahead.  Lovely to meet you all  Smile

Hi Pixie, and a warm welcome. Exciting times ahead and still plenty of time this year for exploration and cruising.

I've approved your other post in the Moorings section.

Good luck with it all and keep us posted!

Karen

Hi Pixie

I use

Craftinsure.com

They are the online arm of Navigators & General. You can get an instant quote online and do the purchase online too.

I've been with them for years for our boats!

John.

Just done an online quote and it came out at £144.14 with £100 excess.  It is cheaper than I was expecting, but i have no knowledge of boat insurance.  Is this a good quote?
