As you are only on a short midweek break it will swallow up all your time just going from Stalham to Norwich and back that's if the tides allow your passage through GY when you need.

If your wife really wants to visit Norwich then I would suggest mooring somewhere like Wroxham and then either getting the train which is only a short hop or even by taxi...this way she can visit Norwich without you having to rush around and then you can slow down and appreciate the Broads for what they are.
Train or taxi fares will be cheaper than all the fuel you will use...bonus
Enjoy

Is it this week coming? Slack water in Yarmouth is very early, or very late. You can't possibly do it. Even if the tides were perfect, it's a big ask. You'd be travelling non-stop for at least two of your days. Best advice above, go in by train or taxi.

Regards, Ray.

Whatever happens now, I'm blaming it on Brexit. Everyone else is!

Unless things have changed drastically because of the dreaded virus, there is also a regular bus service from Wroxham to Norwich. The bus stop is outside Roy's, and if you are of a certain age and have a bus pass in your pocket, it's free.
Unfortunately, this free travel does not apply to visitors from Wales or Scotland.

Sorry but it would be a complete waste of a holiday. Pretty certain it couldn't be done in the time frame you have got unless  you were incredibly lucky with the tides (  both ways ) and that hardly ever happens.

The irony is it is a 30 minute drive from stalham  to Norwich. Make the trip either before you pick up the boat or after you have returned it .

Hi there ,
Sounds like youve booked a short stay break , i fully agree with the other members, its simply isnt worth it , idea of a cruise is to take life a slower pace , what i do suggest is that you moor at wroxham , you can get a bus or a train into Norwich, from wroxham,( only a short distance 30 minutes at a guess ) that way you can  still see Norwich and have a nice time afloat  with out rushing here and there ,and take in ,visit other stop of places and villages etc

steve and vicky
( apparently a moaner)

We are as most have said, having two nights in Norwich before our boating holiday.
This makes the boating as it should be, relaxing.

We have done this before and it works a treat and everyone is happy.

I'm sure you will love it.

I caught the Broads bug in 2015 and I am not looking for a cure !!!

Hi Darren leave your boat at Stalham and drive there lots of parking then on return go to the restaurant out side the gates to the left and have a lovely meal then sail to Womak then on last full day go to Sutton then a short sail back to yard on last day. John
