Hi everyone, we are coming back to the broads in July for the 2nd time, as we loved it so much last time.
My question is.....as we have 11 nights, should we go down under to the South? (Picking the boat up at Wroxham-boat height of 8’2”) We don’t want to be permanently motoring and want a relaxing break.
Is it doable and if so, worth the trek?

The Broads don't change that quickly, so the answers you got when you first asked that question are still very relevant http://the-norfolk-broads.co.uk/viewmessages.cfm?Forum=44&Topic=39103&srow=1&erow=10

11 days is plenty of time to get to the south and have a look round. The places to moor are more spread out down south than they are up north, so you will be doing more motoring between stops. If you go south and like what you find, you can spend more time there. If you don't like it, you've got plenty of time to get back up north.

"..for the avoidance of any doubt, the broads are not legally a national park and do not come under the national park legislation, and nor will they."

My recent trip will give you an idea of what is possible, although I had two days less than you and I was tied to being at Beccles on Tues 14th.
Fri 10th May 0430 Taxi to Prague airport for 0630 flight to Amsterdam then Am to Norwich and taxi to Stalham. By 1 30 cruising down the Ant and moored overnight at Ranworth Staithe. My first taste of Ghost Ship..tasted
three more....very nice.
Sat 11th To Wroxham for shopping and fish and chips at Ken's then to Coltishall overnight.
Sun 12th Slow cruise to P.H. overnight....the only place where I didn't bother going for a drink or two.
Mon 13th South to Loddon where my wife and Czech friends thought it the nicest town of their broads visit.
Tues 14th To Beccles to meet my brother and friends who had driven from Shropshire to enjoy our reunion at  the Kings Head [Wetherspoons]. A very pleasant evening  and I wouldn't say no to a replay in the near future.
Wed 15th To Surlingham Ferry House overnight, good meal at Sonia's as always.
Thur 16th To Norwich to see cathedral...Czech friends very impressed. Left at 12 noon for north  and overnight at Upton Dyke.
Fri 17th No particular plan so my wife Jitka took command and we returned to overnight at Ranworth Staithe.
Sat 18th Leisurely cruise
around and overnight at Neatished.
Sun 19th Breakfast on Barton Broad and returned to Stalham.
The entire trip was spent at a moderate pace except my cruise from Norwich to Upton...my original plan was to overnight at Reedham but the tide was in my favour so I continued across Breydon and up the Bure.
I hope this will be of some use when planning,or better still, not planning your trip.
Kindest regards,Brian.
