Hi,just wondered if anyone had any thoughts on their preference of TV aerial, we are wanting to use it with a freeview box.

Cheers

John.

(I tried the search facility but it does not seem to want to work at the mo)

Regards

John.

Hi there i bought a DM Log from the company below and it works perfectly with Freeview etc. I have an Omni aerial also fitted to the boat and it is next to useless!!

I'm with ADI this is precisely the style that we ended up with two years ago after an expensive array of other options.

It was also the cheapest as they are essentially Home aerials.  Make sure you don't skimp on the cable and connectors and that they are fitted correctly.  We also added a signal amplifier which was not that expensive either.  Have a look at Screwfix for the aerial

The pace of life down there
suits us

Got to agree with ADI and Forresters. Get a small home aerial and a booster. Never had a problem getting a picture anywhere.

Whatever happens now, I'm blaming it on Brexit. Everyone else is!

Hi John You haven't said if you want to use it on a boat? the one i use on my boat is no better than the airials shown but the Ballad from Wards works very well and being the size of a tennis ball on a short pole is so inconspicuous that you can leave it on all the time, with perhaps the odd time you go under low bridge it doesn't get blown off direction and works while underway, it doesn't need dismantling to pack away ether it's much like a large ice cream cone, but if on a building the conventual aerial would be best as they don't need 12v power.
