Hi anyone know what grade of oil I should put in the gearbox of my 1.5 BMC ?

Hi Jason there is no such thing as a BMC gear box unless your are talking about a car. Look for a brass plate on top or side of gear box, or casting letters, this will tell you what make and model gear box you have, it might also have what oil it should have depending on the make. Evan the same make of box can have different oils depending on year of manufacture which is why you should always look at the ID plate for the correct one. John

Just to add , which we found on our 1st boat , that some previous boat owners,  be it hire or private , when had a gear box change or reconditioned,  have had the box repainted and painted over the metal tag label,  sign , if found a slight rub over with sand paper etc will expose the label with make , model , recommended oil on it ,
