Hi I am considering buying a new boat. I am looking at Horizon 35's. If I bought one I would like to have a bow canopy made. Any idea of prices for these? Just so I can factor it into my calculations. Thank you.

Unless someone spots this thread who has recently had one made, you may struggle to find an idea of price here. What I can do though, is to suggest you give Val a ring at OK Smart Covers at Stalham. His number is 07816 329314.

It's a bit of a piece of string question in reality.
There are so many possibilities depending what sort of material you would like, do you want a zipped door, do you want windows, etc?
Could be anything from a few hundred pounds to several thousand pounds. You need to speak with the companies suggested above and discuss your requirements with them for a quotation.

Hi

In my experience the things that affect price in order of significance are zips, windows, size, overheads of company and finally type of material.
Based on recent quotes (2020) for a simpler piece of work I would guess at somewhere between  £1k and £4k .
Hope that helps.
Graham

We have a small act cockpit boat (23 feet long and about 8 feet wide) a new canopy in 2012 cost  £1350. We chose an acrylic lightweight soft to handle fabric. The same canopy in the cheaper option of vinyl was going to be avout £1100 . So that's 8 years ago.

Friends with larger boats have paid around £2k for aft canopies in the acrylic fabrics. Other friends who just needed a canopy over the rear well paid about £600.

Bailey and Stone are very good and prompt with giving a price if you email them with your boat details, and a pic.
