Looking for recent reviews of this  vessel, looks lovely. I have hired this for my wife’s 50th Birthday, just the 2 of us. We have hired a number of craft on the Northern broads over the years, fron Stuart’s, ferry Marina, Richardson’s et al. These have been with Andrea,I and the kids or larger family so used to the broads, crossing Breydon etc. We spent all our time on the northbroads until the last few years went south with my Dad and brothers. Don’t know why but it felt like a different experience.

So back to the question, we have booked the Brooms cadet pet for 1 week end of July beginning of August, aware it’s a really busy time.

Looking for advice re moorings, what time to moor try and find moorings at 5hat time of year.?
If can’t moor on the bank are you able to use the mud anchor and set this in the middle of a broad ,not a river. ?

Anyone experience of using the Galley ,cooking on the. Cadet.?

Anyone hints or tips. We will hopefully after Norwich head north via Oulton.

In the old days you used to be able to borrow a second mud weight so that you could drop one bow and Stern with perhaps a line to a tree on the bank

If you are staying South then even in August you should be able to moor providing you do not leave it too late.     Be aware that the southern rivers have a large rise and fall in the tide and you may well tie up when it looks ok and then the river drops and it is a different matter.    BA moorings are always safe.

Hardley Mill is a very good mooring , on pontoons , so no tidal affect there, with electricity and good walks and an interesting tour of the Mill if you are lucky.    £5 if staying overnight.
