I have hired this craft from Brooms , the cadet , we would like to travel into Norwich . I have asked brooms and they say it’s ok, however checking bridge heights and Air draft doesn’t add up. However though hired boats on the broads a few times not had this type of craft. Can I ask how far into Norwich we can go, how important are times, tides etc.
I am new to the forum, if this has been asked before then please excuse me as an fng.

You can only get up to the Yacht station but  will need to plan the trip up and back as the rail bridge does not open and I guess it needs around 8ft clearance.

In a nutshell
The Moore the merrier.

clearance at Trowse, average high is 2.75 meres or 9ft  so should  so should pass under at all times as the airdraft on the Cadet is around 7’ 2”.

p.s. no hire craft are allojwed beyond Norwich Yacht Station.

if it is to be it is up to me.

A few years ago we hired Cavel, also a Broom Cadet , with the radar arch dropped she is 7’2’’, so no problems at correct tide levels , we have taken a Shadow 30 (Kingfisher Illusion) up to the yacht station and she needed 8’4’’
Although Pet is 7’2’’ she will not pass under Wroxham due to the height and placing of the bow rails though
