Would we have won the last war if we had the same selfish attitude that a huge amount of people are showing in the supermarkets now ie., sweeping everything on a shelf into their trolley, similar to the show on TV a few years ago, buying up all the baby milk that was selling for around 4 quid then sticking it on ebay for £120.00.
It's not just an odd one or two serious FUJ I'm okay attitude, proud to be British, not at the moment...

Called in to Lidl this morning, needed milk, eggs and butter. Took 6 eggs, 1 milk and 1 250 gram butter. Very happy with that. Not like practically every other b****r sweeping as much as possible into their trollies. At least the till staff were enforcing the 4 items limits.  Frown

Regards, Ray.

Whatever happens now, I'm blaming it on Brexit. Everyone else is!

So the Broads are not involved in what the rest of the world are, lucky people.
In my opinion in the current situation that the rest of the world is in and it helps members, some who may be shut away on their own, then carry on.

It’s now being reported that people emptying the bins are seeing huge amounts of food products unopened which have gone past their use by dates. How thick must some people be?

I understand what you are saying but can you blame people for stocking up? I didnt and currently have to self isolate so cant go out for 14 days, I tried all the major supermarkets to get a home delivery and cant book a date. If it wasnt for familly Id be buggered. Over the next few months more and more people are going to be at home either self isolated or in other ways restricted. The system cant cope now, so in a few months maybe Johnny Selfish may not look so silly or even selfish.

Dave

if it is to be it is up to me.

Sorry to here that Dave, I don't think there is a shortage it's purely down to people buying up everything they can get there mitts on,I believe if people hadn't panicked you would be able to get the food you need.
