Hi

Your not alone M I’m getting this, well a different add but the same each time, as well when I click to go to a thread. What’s worse is touching the X to close it doesn’t work most of the time. I’m using an iPad Pro with iOS 14.2.

It’s a real pain!  Exterminate.

John.

Kind regards, John(Captain

I am on Google Chrome on the laptop.     Perhaps if someone could give our Richard a poke in the ribs he could let us know what is going on.     Most odd.

Monica this has been happening on the forum for long time , no doubt the forum gets a very small fee for advertising, and comes with the website host , but when the governor gets a spare 5 he'll explain more

It’s annoying but if it is bringing some income to the forum I’m happy to put up with it.

Windows 10 and Firefox with an ad-blocker - I've never seen it.

Yep, Ad Blocker Ultimate.

You can find it in the Microsoft Store in Windows 10.

Works for me too.

Great! Not seen it since I installed ad blocker.
The "Why?" question should be aimed at the browser producers but then I guess most of them, perhaps with the exception of Microsoft's offerings, along with the sites that browers provide access to, are pretty much funded by advertising click through so blocking the adverts affects their income.
