I've just been looking at the Google stats for the site, 1,000 visits a day. No idea if that's good or bad.

But I've got a problem, a small one, and only mine.

It costs money to run this site. Most of which is supported by a few very generous members and the bloody adverts.

Sadly a boat yard in Potter has decided that they're not going to pay their bills, so I'm stuck with a bit of a short fall for the last 12 months.

Thankfully Barnes Brinkcraft and Hoseasons support has helped us out a little bit, and those horrible Google adverts.

But there's a major shortfall this year.

So if you think it's a good read, and worth supporting why not chip in a couple of quid a month?

I'm not after any large wads of cash please, the cost of a newspaper a month no more (hopefully you read an expensive newspaper like I do!)

Many thanks for taking time to read this, and the many years that you have all made this such a fantastic resource.

Over 300 page views so far, so it clearly IS worth a read. If all those visitors just contributed £1 ...  Smile

If only Pally I just looked at the stats from the horrendous Google adverts. Todays revenue £1.02 today.

But thanks for you who have helped, please just a little, but regular subscription, would just make life so much easier.

I’m not sure. Sad to say, but someone has posted the same enquiry on this site and the other place. This site has produced just one response, the other at the time of posting has six replies.

Most times the other place has more posts and therefore more interest.

I am sorry but the other place is more interesting.

That's possibly because some of us read and participate on both sites. If I reply to the query on one site (I haven't, BTW), I wouldn't bother to give the same reply on the other.

Regards, Ray.

Richard asked if this site was worth a read. I'll say it is and it's an incredibly valuable resource for first timers looking for advice.

I used to make ad-hoc donations, but a few years ago decided to go the route of monthly subscriptions. It's extracted from my bank quite painlessy each month. So simple really.

I set up a monthly standing order to the site a while back.I know that there are some people that prefer to pay this way rather than debit card of Paypal.
If this is your preferred route just e.mail Richard as I did and he will provide you with the sort code and account number details.
