I’m actually trying to find the boat or somehow get in contact with the owner from that 2005 thread, but it’s from a long time ago so it’s a bit of a long shot. My Grandad built the boat but sold her a long time ago, but he recently passed away and it would mean a lot to my family to at least see her again. I don’t really know how to go about finding her or even if I can.
You could try writing to the Broads Authority tolls office (assuming the boat is still registered and tolled on the Broads) and asking them if they would be willing to pass on a letter from you to th owners. The BA would not be allowed to give you the ownership details directly, because that would be a breach of data protection laws, but if you explain the circumstances my guess is that they would pass a letter on, on the strict understanding that it’s then up to the owners if they wish to respond to you.
A specific google search shows she is definitely mentioned in classic boat magazine in 2012. Further information from them will probably only be forth coming on payment of a subscription.
My only other suggestion assuming you have pm 'd all the original posters is to use the photo of her on the hard to try and identify where she was on Oulton. Knowing that should give you a clue as to who to ask if they can remember her.
My only concern is it is a long time ago and you need to be prepared for sad news if you decide you want to put the effort in and start down that route. It is just as likely she is no longer with us as she has had a name change or gone back to the south coast.
