Not quite the Elegant ELESCO Vestas etc. I used to drawl over in days of yore, but good to see all the same.

purely as a matter of interest anyone know if Landamore's Vestella's coukld get through potter bridge.  I guess that the Vesta with a beam of just under 10ft could.  Mind you it was the 37ft version - Eclan later Snowgoose - that I used to adore!  She was probably the most elegant Broads High Foredeck design ever.  To have enough money to commission a GRP mould of that hull would be quite something

Bill,

Blakes 1963 lists Vestella's as 9ft 9in beam.

Craig's database lists them as 9ft 10in (the same as the Vesta's).

If these measurements are true, you could presume that the Vestella's would fit.

Granted, but, with high fore-decks and semi circular arches its not so much beam near the waterline that counts.  I just was quietly wondering whether a modern build like the Vestas or the Martham boats as they used to be, would be a workable proposition.  I suspect that at least one member here could provide a definitive answer    Wink
