Hi All,
Has aanyone had experience of an effective mosquito repellant device. There are loads on line but I don't trust the reviews which look made-up to me - particularly any products from China.
Thanks,
Barry

Regards

Anything containing DEET. Jungle Formula is one such that we use. But remember, it melts plastic, so keep it away from your specs and watch, etc.

Avon Skin-So-Soft (the one containing Citronella) is reputed to be effective. There are many reports from around the world (and on here) to that effect. It is something I actually use, in preference to DEET, and it does seem to work for me. Avon don't make the claim though, as they would have to be able to back it up with research.

There are loads of other suggestions here (click linky thingy)

My wife is an Avon agent and sells loads of Skin So Soft at this time of the year as people have wised up to its effectiveness as a mosquito repellent.
Whenever we are in Norfolk and I sit out fishing late at night, a quick spray on exposed areas seems to work for me.
It is reputed to be used by the Special Services but not verified of course.

Avon Skin So Soft is widely used in Scotland especially in the Highlands and Islands where midges can be a real problem. It is readily available in local stores and Co-Ops up there.

Women and cats do as they please..Men and dogs better get used to the idea!

There are a few variations of Avon Skin So Soft! Is any particular one found to be the most effective??

VetChugger, it’s the Skin So Soft Original Dry Oil Body Spray. Although the bottle says ‘with jojoba’ it still contains citronella.
