We came from Horning to Barton Broad after lunch today.
Very little traffic on the Bure. Bags of space at Ludham Nridge and at How Hill and  also at Paddy’s Lane. where is everyone, it is August after all.  Makes it so easy to find a mooring though.

Very quiet through Horning just after 3 this pm. and it looks like it is going to be much the same through the rest of August.

Was out last week and thought the same. No boats at South Walsham, only a few at fleet dyke. The lion moorings were  empty as were womack 24 hr and island moorings.

Times are now changing , many people opt for shorter breaks now to stagger there holidays throughout the year , Monday's is a change over day for the big players IE Herbert woods , richardsons , Barnes brinkcraft , so start of there holiday take over time will be after lunchtime , also there are not so many small boatyards as there once ,

Reedham Quay just about full Monday night but Braydon crossing times not good this week early & quite late. There were some double moorings last week though clear many avoided the area on Saturday with many spaces.Tue Wed Thurs should see the highest number of craft out but HW look to have around 20 tied up & BB are not all out though some may be over-nighting at both. Simalar pattern last year with last week July & first couple in August busiest - maybe there needs to be a new look at the pricing structure pattern?

Even on dry land it is pretty quiet.   Morrisons was extremely quiet, hardly anyone in the car park and there just seems to be not much traffic about , previous weeks the place has been heaving.   I wondered if everyone had gone abroad on their 'annual' get away.

We visited The Rising Sun at Coltishall by car on Saturday evening and we were surprised how many  mooring spaces were available.

Just back home to beat the rain.
Much busier on the Ant today, mostly heading to Stalham and not all Ricco's going back after the weekend. Also busier on the Bure up to Horning, but not as much as a normal August.
