Wide buoys. Beware when transporting boats, abnormal loads require strict regulation for other road users safety, best not flaunted, luckily the boat owner may be in the clear, doesn’t work like that in other areas of life......

Some years ago a neighbour was planning to tow his boat to launch at Poole on a regular basis - when I pointed out his vehicle was nowhere near being capable of towing the weight legally (I reminded him that Poole Police would be aware of the rules) he huffed and puffed but clearly went and checked & never did take it there & found a local permanent mooring before selling it!
