In my opinion a place to avoid. It calls itself an American Diner but I lived in the US for 20 years and these guys have no clue. We have eaten there twice, the last time will be the last. I ordered a Philly Cheese Steak sandwich, what I got was an untoasted roll covered with what looked like mushroom soup. There was definitely no cheese and very little steak, it tasted weird and of course the bread was totally soggy and inedible. It came with a huge amount of salad which I neither ordered or wanted. Service was slow, nearly finished my pint before the food arrived.

Sorry, just not acceptable

I do hope that you made the restaurant aware of your disappointment at the time.  Much more useful than complaining on a forum like this one imho.

To be fair Steve the restaurant must be aware that the food is mediocre a the best because I've never seen a good review for the place. If they haven't done anything about it up to now, I doubt they will take any notice of a complaint at the time. At least the OP's post on here may save someone else wasting their money. I notice they seem to have reversed their decision on allowing dogs on the terrace, must be desperate for business Wink

if it is to be it is up to me.

I wasn't complaining here, just making others aware so they don't have a bad experience as well.

You were lucky - take a look at their Trip Advisor ratings.

I've eaten there three times and the food and service has been fine what's more they serve real chips!! I thought thought that was illegal nowadays.
Also the meals were very well priced no complaints from me

We had a poor experience there last year. And they were not interested in our concerns. In fact I don't think the staff we dealt with even bothered to refer it. So I'm afraid we have since voted with our feet...

Off to Cornwall again soon and have to say that every visit there we find the attitude to customer service very different to that shown in the whole of The Broads ! From tea shop to pub to restaurant. A complete pleasure.
