Hi. Lion at thurne dyke Is good, easy to moor and pub has just been done up, limited menu but it's all good, short walk. There other pub at netishead is also good, walk is about 300 yards. Stocksby , u can moor out side pub, also outside at red lion cottishall. Call the new inn at horning to reserve a mooring, right outside

Thanks for the info,we pick our boat up in wroxham  at 2-30 so thought we we would stay there on the first night rather than rush off trying to find a mooring round horning ,new inn or ferry inn .a takeaway coupled with a spot of fishing sounds nice

Hi there ,
All is not lost , you can book a mooring at the new inn horning  , and as your on a hireboat you can moor for free at ferry marina boatyard ( next door to the ferry inn ) horning , only 1 hr journey time from wroxham

Two more pubs where you can moor next to and fish , Sutton stathie , with the Sutton stathie hotel ,
Acle , moor either in two of the hire boat yards for free , bridgecraft, or the norfolk broads boating company, which has a bar restaurant on site ,called pedros ,

funnily enough people tend to ignore the pace they start from if you are getting your boat from Faircraft you can stop in their yard and stroll to the BoatShed
