batrabill, I have made quite a number of posts in the tolls threads, so perhaps you regard me as one of the 'dominant posters'. I would make no apology for so being, but I have tried to post facts (which tend to be incontrovertible), coupled with opinion (which can be challenged). As this is a discussion forum, it is open to any member to challenge my, or any other member's, opinion, and to put forward their own.

Commend and agree with both Paladine's last posts.... Approach to the real powers that be is the best way to get things done, not flag-waving and shouting

I'm glad we agree on something, Coriolis. Using your analogy of Anderson shelters and bombers in another thread, surely persuading the 'enemy' not to bomb you in the first place must, surely, be preferable to getting bombed and retaliating with the nuclear option.

Rickh. I read somewhere a goodly time ago that the average person was 80% more likely to complain if they felt that they have had bad service than they would compliment if they felt they had good service. Not being a statistician I am not sure if that has a bearing on the poll results that you keep referring to! I for instance have not registered a vote. I never do. Internet polls are IMO simply there to let people with a particular view vent steam. Very few people or organisations even bother to look at them let alone take any regard to them. TT is right that the only real worthwhile protest that has any value at all (and that value is certainly limited) is to be there in person.

Exile there are those that try to change things and those who don't , I will be there tomorrow morning u can be sure of that , as for the poll no u can't read too much into it but its clear that the vast majority of those that got off there *rs* n voted vote against these proposal's even u can't argue with that , now I don't care if your boat tolls are going to be cheaper or not but what I do care about is the underhand way these proposal's have been conceived and forced on toll payers the vast majority of which no nothing about it at the moment so can do nothing to protest and that I'm sorry is just not on at all .
